Input and output tokens for each model call in the run.
metered in tokensThe ledger
Your model bill stays yours.
Connect an OpenRouter account or provider API credits and pay the model provider directly. fist.chat adds zero model-token markup; service credits account for the operator, Cell compute, and connector actions. Final subscription prices are not published yet.
The movement
Reserve. Settle. Release.
Credits are held before a run starts and resolved when it finishes. A run can never spend more than it reserved, and a workspace limit is enforced at the moment of the hold — not discovered afterwards.
Totals appear in credits, not currency — beta pricing is not set.
The meter
What a credit covers.
A service credit is fist.chat’s unit for platform work. Customer-funded model tokens remain visible on the receipt at zero service credits, separate from the things fist.chat operates.
Seconds the Cell was awake. A paused Cell bills nothing.

metered in callsThe terms
The fine print, ruled.
Ceilings enforced at the hold, a receipt on every settlement, and nothing implied to be available before it is.
On the record
What we will not do: proxy a consumer ChatGPT or Claude subscription as API access, add a hidden model-token markup, silently fall back to our paid model when your account fails, quote a price we have not set, or bill a Cell that is paused.
